Hugo woke up with a sore throat.
Our train was only scheduled for 14:45. We checked out at 10:00 and thought we could sit in the dining area for a while, but the staff told us a large group was coming.
We went back to the mall instead, where Hugo worked at the communal table for a few hours. For lunch we had the same cheeseburgers and fries again.
We then took the Metro A line for the fourth or fifth and final time. It was probably the most we had used the same transport option anywhere on this trip.
At Roma Termini, Hugo bought some very expensive throat spray. Then we boarded Frecciarossa 8520 to Bologna.
It was Caro’s first time on a Frecciarossa and Hugo’s second, although this time we were in standard class and had booked seats.
The train left at 14:45 and was scheduled to reach Bologna at 17:13—a journey of 2 hours and 28 minutes. At one point it was travelling at 255 km/h.
When we arrived in Bologna, we could check in immediately. We went straight to the room and crashed because Hugo was not feeling any better.
For dinner we ordered two bowls of Bolognese pasta with ragù on Glovo.
