We started our journey through Africa on the 12th of February 2017. We basically planned and shopped for the trip in January of the same year, so we didn’t really have a fixed plan or schedule. Our trip ended back in Cape Town on the 6th of October 2017, 237 days later.
Almost 11 months after returning we set of to Botswana (blue route) on the 2nd of September 2018.
Below is the GPX tracks of our route in Africa. Since the tracks were getting too big to load it has been ‘compressed’. 98% of the points were deleted so it doesn’t necessarily follow the roads anymore, but the rough route that we took is still visible.
