Lovely host and location
We woke up to a strong wind and quickly closed the tent as it looked like it could start to rain. Just as we finished making coffee Jared and Jen arrived with their coffee and we chatted for more than an hour.
We only left at 11:30 after saying our final goodbyes. Back in Marracuene, we took the four-lane highway running along the coast to Maputo, which is still indicated as an unknown road on Google Maps, instead of using the EN1.
We found the flat rather easily which is located in the Polana Cimento neighborhood. Our host let us park in a covered parking spot, but the Hilux was too long. So even after taking off the spare wheel the gate still couldn’t close all the way, so we just locked it with a bicycle lock.
The flat is on the 8th floor and covers half the building the there is nice views to three sides.
Since our goal was to work we mostly did that.
On the second day, we walked around a bit to get brunch and to buy some things from a Spar.
By the second night, we decided we needed to stay another night in order to avoid potential long queues at the border on the public holiday.
On Monday we went for a buy one get one free pizza for lunch and then just worked again for the rest of the day. For dinner, there were thus leftover pizza.
