It took five hours to get to Selcuk from Fethiye, so we arrived there in the afternoon. Our guesthouse, Villa Dreams, had a beautiful view over the city and a nice swimming pool. We just relaxed there for the rest of the day.

The next day was dedicated to exploring the ancient ruins of Ephesus only 3km from Selcuk. From Wikipedia: Ephesus is an ancient city in Turkey’s Central Aegean region, near modern-day Selçuk. Its excavated remains reflect centuries of history, from classical Greece to the Roman Empire – when it was the Mediterranean’s main commercial center – to the spread of Christianity.

After walking through Ephesus and admiring all the indescribable ancient ruins, we went to the nearby beach of Pamacuk. In the afternoon we walked through Selcuk before retiring to our guesthouse to rest for the next leg of our journey.
