From the Galle Fort we took a short Tuk-tuk ride to Unawatuna, an even more touristic place than the Fort. Unawatuna, famous for its long sandy beach, is lined with 100s of restaurants with seafood BBQs every night at prices way above our budget. The ocean was quiete rough and the water much colder than in the Maldives. The water was refreshing at times when it got too hot, but we almost drowned from the strong current and waves pulling us under. We stayed for two nights and tried our best to find cheap food it the back alleys away from the beach.
