We only went 8km further from Weligama to meet up with Sam and Sabrina in Mirissa, they arrived in Colombo the day before. Sam traveled with us last year for a month in Namibia. We had cheap Vegetable Kottu for dinner and then finally played some cards again at the Sunstyle guest house where we stayed. The next morning we had a massive breakfast at the guest house. After breakfast we took a Tuktuk (all 4 in one) to Garadu Gaga lake. We couldn’t actually se the lake where we were dropped and had to walk halfway around it to find a small opening to actually see the water and the mangroves. From there we continued walking around the lake all the way back to Mirissa. We spend the rest of the day on the beach bodyboarding, drinking beer and just chatting.
We went back to the guesthouse to shower and lied down for a bit before going back to the beach for grilled fish. We then played some more cards at the restaurant before retiring to the guesthouse.
